The much-anticipated rematch between Chomunorwa ‘Sting’ Gondarenda and Tony ‘Sugar’ Salam for Gondarenda’s WBF Africa Cruiserweight title, dubbed Chaos in Lagos, will take place at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island.

With Kwesé’s multiplatform broadcasting approach, Nigerian sports fans will be spoilt for viewing options. Kwesé will offer full broadcast coverage of the event through satellite TV on channel 285 on the Kwesé TV bouquet, the Kwesé TV app linked to an active pay TV subscription, or Kwesé Free Sports UHF channel 32, and on Kwesé iflix mobile app.

However, Kwesé has inked sublicense agreements with various free-to-air (FTA) broadcasters across the continent to provide millions of views outside Nigeria to enjoy free access to the fight. The event can also be streamed on YouTube Live.

Gondarenda retained his belt on a split decision between the two in August. Soon after the match Gondarenda declared that he would fight Salam again, “any time any place”.

With two different styles, Gondarenda the ‘come forward fighter’ and Salam the ‘slick counter puncher’, fighting often on the back foot, the fight will be a tough one for both opponents.

It will be now Nigeria’s turn to roll out the red carpet and put on an exceptional sporting display to stage the Friday Fight Night Series across the world. Kwesé will provide a full broadcast coverage of the event.
